I have more than eight years of experience in the field of Theatrical Electrician starting back to when I was in high school. I am also a United States Army Veteran of 11 years.
I have a strong record of designing, installing, and programming lighting systems on a variety of productions, including musicals, plays, dance performances and concerts for small and large audiences. I am also experienced in lighting maintenance, inventory, and repair, which allows me to provide a high level of service. I am knowledgeable in the use and design with Vectorworks and projection while utilizing Qlab. My weakness is audio as I have basic knowledge, but I am willing to learn for the position.
In additional to my technical skills, I pride myself on my ability to communicate effectively with clients, directors and other team members. I can listen attentively and translate complex concepts into language that everyone can understand. I am also proactive in problem solving, which allows me to anticipate and head off potential issues before they become a problem.
I have been involved as a lighting technician/light board operator in approx. 24 plays at University of Houston, while in the military, and in high school, as well as touring for a year as a lighting technician with the Army to Germany, Italy, Cuba and all around the United States.
I am also a member of USITT.
